A job will fill your pocket.

Travel will fill your soul.

Let's get out of the office together and see the world.

For over twenty years, I worked in leadership development in Corporate America and had the pleasure of traveling around the world while meeting with incredible and interesting clients. It did more than pay the bills...it helped ignite and nurture my love for global travel and sparked my curiousity about people and cultures around the world. While I always loved my work, turning on the "out of office" alert on my email was undeniably one of the best parts.

I would joke and say that I traveled for work but I worked to travel!

After years of staying up until the wee hours of the morning planning trips for family and friends purely for the fun of it, I finally was brave enough to follow my dreams and "retire" from Corporate America. After much preparation, a pandemic, and (probably way too much) research, Out of Office Travel Concierge was officially born.

I truly believe travel fills your soul in a way that nothing else can and creates irreplaceable memories. Thank you to the many people that encouraged and supported me to follow my talent and passion (not unlike the message that I had preached for so many years to leaders around the world)! Nothing brings me more happiness than pulling up Facebook and seeing smiling faces and gorgeous places on trips that I helped bring to life.

ready for a trip that's tailored just for you?

I believe that when travelers try to DIY their own vacations, their experience often falls short. It would be like me trying to design plans for a new building - it's not my expertise. Travel planning is a skill, expertise, and true profession. I don't want you to feel overwhelmed with 100 tabs open on your computer and more options than you know how to sort through. Let me take the stress, overwhelm, and hours of work off your plate.

No matter what phase of life you are in, I believe in delivering exceptional services and creating custom travel experiences. I would be honored to help you plan the details of your travels - as much or as little as you have time for or like. My wish is for every client to come home from every trip with their soul recharged and ready to plan their next out of office adventure!

Do you really need a travel planner

when you have the internet?

Short answer -yes. It's worth it.

And here are a few reasons why:

Roatan

You just don't have the time, interest, or patience to research and plan a perfect trip.

In theory, you may know how to research, plan, and book a trip through mass sites like Expedia or TripAdvisor, but you recognize there is tremendous value in the personal touch, recommendations, and connections I can provide.

It's so easy to become overwhelmed quickly with the amount of information on the internet. On average, people spend an average of 20+ hours searching for a vacation online and visit up to 35 sites! Perhaps you just don’t have the time or energy or maybe you just don't enjoy the planning process at all, slogging through reviews that may not even be authentic. Prices and amenities may look attractive on these mass sites but generally they are staffed by 1-800 order takers with no benefit of service or interest in solving any problems that may come up later.

Amalfi Coast

Your vacation time is limited and you want it to be amazing.

Maybe you’ve been dreaming about this trip for a long time. You’ve seen photos in magazines, and you want to make this a trip your friends or family will remember and talk about for years to come. But you aren’t sure where to start, how much time you really need, or even how much it will cost. Perhaps you saw a glossy advertisement for a destination or resort somewhere and it sparked that travel bug in you but you have no idea if it actually aligns with what you would want to do and see or can afford.

Maybe you're traveling with a two-year-old and not sure how to make the trip toddler-friendly. Or perhaps you have a group with diverse interests that you’re not sure how to incorporate into one trip. So much pressure to make everyone happy. Maybe you just don’t want to be the one responsible for making sure everyone else’s dream trip is perfect. I can help take that pressure off and do the dirty work behind the scenes to make all the pieces come together smoothly and make you look like the hero.

Sydney

There are specific things you want to see, do, and eat.

Sometimes, that’s exploring one big city in its entirety and sometimes it's two weeks of hopping from one location to the next. Other times, you may be looking for an off-the-beaten-path itinerary where you can just unplug and relax with your thoughts. You may know where you want to go, but not how long to spend in each place, or the best way to get from Point A to Point B. Maybe you want reservations at the hottest restaurants or just want to know which spots are local favorites.

Tell me what you want to see and how many days you have to do it, share your budget if you have one, and I will take it from there.

Great Wall of China

So many options. Too many choices. You don't want to go down the internet rabbit hole this time.

I hear this all the time. There are so, so many different tours and options: large bus tours, small bus tours, private tours, small group tours with no bus, walking tours, food tours… the list goes on. All the tours you read about sound great so how are you supposed to know which are actually great? You're not. But I can help.

At Out of Office Travel Concierge, we create your custom vacation together, starting from scratch. There are no templates. You can be as involved or as hands off during the planning process as you would like. You can decide what you’d like to do, how you'd like to do it, and what you’d like to skip, and we will make it happen in the best way possible.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

You appreciate a good perk or a package that saves you money but you know bargain basement isn't worth it.

Before officially getting my travel planning certifications, I had no idea just how much exclusive access advisors have to special pricing and packages for the most basic properties up to the most luxurious of trips. I now have insider access to ensure that you will get the preferential treatment you deserve at your destination (and maybe even a fun surprise perk here and there!).

The travel consortium I belong to has a ton of exclusive specials with airlines, resorts, cruises, tours, and hotels, potentially saving you some money and headaches due to valuable supplier relationships. Using my experience and all the tools now available to me, I will thoroughly research every option to make sure you are getting the best experience for your money and your wish list but I will never send you to some sketchy hotel in BFE because it's $20 cheaper. You're worth it.

You like the idea of having a trusted advocate before, during, and after your trip.

Travel has changed greatly within the past few years and has become quite a bit more challenging to navigate. Between pandemics, flights being cancelled or delayed, AirBnbs being falsely advertised, tours being short staffed and underwhelming, countries changing their entrance requirements, and restaurants being booked out for months or abruptly closed, there is a lot of value in having someone who has trusted and vetted recommendations and will be there for anything that you need through the journey.

Not to mention, I have exclusive-to-the-trade phone numbers I can call should something go wrong or changes need to be made with your trip, saving you hours on the phone listening to horrible hold music.

I asked Lisa to assist with planning a trip to Rome for myself and my sister. I had already purchased our flights but Lisa stepped in and planned the rest of the trip in a way that completely exceeded my expectations! We discussed the attractions and highlights we hoped to see but she also asked about the pace we wanted to keep, interest in downtime, independent exploring and shopping. She secured reservations at a beautiful hotel within our budget and based on the location we wanted to stay. She made recomendations and purchased the tickets for group tours and private tours, she even booked our airport transfers to and from the hotel. Lisa made us fantastic dining reservations for most days and offered some special suggestions for others. Our daily itinerary with all the details on the days events, reservation info, entrance tickets, etc were all uploaded into a fantastic app (that was also available offline). So organized and detailed! She planned a special day trip to Naples, arranged our train tickets and hired a private driver to take us on a tour of the Amalfi Coast. Bellissimo! Lisa truly went above and beyond to make our trip spectacular! Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness was evident in every suggestion and reservation. We will definitely be traveling again with Lisa and Out of Office Travel Concierge!

I asked Lisa to help plan my Mom’s 70th birthday surprise weekend to NYC. We wanted a weekend that was all planned because we were busy with work, and when we got there we just wanted to enjoy our time with each other. Lisa’s recommendations were so thoughtful to our wants and needs, and she had every detail taken care of down to the itinerary with Google Maps! The planning process was simple and her recommendations and guidance was so appreciated. Would highly recommend Out of Office and Lisa to anyone looking to really enjoy travel experiences and the people they travel with!

Santorini

Lisa is fantastic! I have never been to Italy, or Europe for that matter, and we told her what we had in mind, and she curated a 2 week trip through Southern Italy that was AMAZING! The lodging, the restaurants , the excursions, transportation was all coordinated and perfect!

I love how I didn’t have to search and worry about where we were staying… if it was safe, if the vendors were good/ highly rated, she took all of that into account and made it so wonderful! We will definitely be using Lisa and Out Of Office Travel Concierge again. We have already referred her services to friends!
